Antique Sewing Table / Work Table from the 19th Century, Made of Rosewood
A piece of furniture from the second half of the 19th century in the Biedermeier style, crafted from rosewood with beautiful grain patterns.
The box features a geometric front and sides, with a lift-up top that has beveled corners, adorned with decorative openwork protrusions.
The interior of the work table retains its original compartments arranged around the perimeter, lined with red fabric (in excellent condition after restoration), with metal handles. In the center, there is a lid with a fabric handle, beneath which is a clever compartment for larger trinkets.
The base of the table is supported by a turned and carved spindle, set on a four-armed platform with brass wheels.
The work table has been restored, finished according to conservation principles.
