Walnut Coffee Table in the Queen Anne Style from the Turn of the Centuries
A walnut table inspired by the Queen Anne style. The piece stands on four curved legs with prominent knees, adorned with carvings.
The furniture is in very good condition and has not undergone any restoration.
The Queen Anne style in furniture and interior design became popular in England during the reign of Anne Stuart (1702-1714). In furniture making, it was characterized by an eclectic combination of late Renaissance and Baroque forms, along with Dutch and Far Eastern influences (such as the use of lacquer). Walnut wood was a favored material.
