19th-Century Mantel Clock – Unique
We present you this unique mantel clock in an openwork,
elaborately carved wooden case, which is made of exotic wood.
The whole item is integrated with a wooden base on brass legs,
and finished with an ivory pinnacle.
Furthermore, the clock mechanism has a cylinder escapement.
The clock strikes full hours and halves.
On the back of the mechanism cover, there is a mark of the French workshop,
Costeux, located in Saint Dominic Street in Paris.
The case is in perfect condition. Moreover, the mechanism is functional,
after a horologic service. The rear cover of the clock’s inside is missing.
