Historical overview: Zeh Scherzer & Co.
The Zeh Scherzer & Co. company was founded in 1880 and started the manufacture of a wide range of products, including tea and coffee sets, housewares, and tablewares.
In the years 1918-1920, an artistic department was created, collectors and historians call this time “a glorious period” of the manufactory. At that time, many of the most beautiful artistic products in its history were created. Due to growing competition, the manufactory ceased production in 1992.

Historical overview: Jaeger & Co., Marktredwitz

Jaeger and Fritz Thomas founded a small decoration company in Marktredwitz, Jaeger, Thomas & Co. in 1872, but soon began their own manufacture of tableware, coffee and tea services, and souvenirs. After various disputes with Jaeger, Fritz Thomas decided to leave the company.
From 1898, the company was named Porzellanfabrik Marktredwitz, Jaeger & Co.

In 1930, 500 employed were employed, including those working in their own decoration studio in Munich.

In 1979, the manufactory was sold to the Sebring company from the town of Bari in Italy, which itself was a part of the Tognana group. The manufactory was closed in 1986.
