Prewar Carl A. Pfeiffer Piano
This instrument is circa 1910, in a wooden casing veneered with
oak.
Presented piano is in the Art Nouveau style; of a simple form that is varied only by
brazen fixings for candles, and a rectangular insert
with a semi-plastic decoration.
The ivory piano keys are original and complete, and add class to the whole.
Both the casing and the instrument require a renovation. (The sound board is cracked,
piano dampers need to be replaced, etc.)
Pfeiffer pianos are characterized by a very nice tone quality.
Carl A. Pfeiffer Pianos Manufactory had been founded probably around 1825, in Głogów. In 1862, Pfeiffer’s son, Joseph Anton Pfeiffer moved the manufactory to Stuttgard.
