Fortuna Freiburg Wall Clock, Circa 1885-1886
We present you this clock from the manufactory of Regulatoruhren Fabrik Fortuna Freiburg (today’s Świebodzice in Lower Silesia) powered with weights.
The mechanism number of 30673 indicates it was made in the years 1885-1886. The case is probably from the same manufactory because the company owned a woodworking shop at that time.
The clock strikes full hours and halves.
The wooden case is glazed on three sides. The clock face is enameled. The pendulum bob is brass.
Moreover, the mechanism is functional, after a horological service.
This clock is in perfect condition.
The Regulatoruhren Fabrik Fortuna company (today’s Świebodzice) operated between 1879 and 1888. The number of clock mechanisms they made is around 45,000. The company got its own woodworking shop that was responsible for the production of clock cases (regulators).
