18th-Century Grandfather Clock from the Times of George III
We present you a grandfather clock from the 1st half of the 18th century in a mahogany case.
Both the door and the clock face are flanked by small columns.
The upper section is finished with a split pediment,
which is decorated with openwork ornamentation.
Furthermore, the metal clock face with an hour dial
and a moon dial above is placed on a metal panel,
which is closed by an arch.
The clock strikes full hours and halves.
Inside the mechanism, there is a hand-written signature
made with a stylus and a notation regarding
renovation of the clock carried in 1924.
The case is after renovation, finished in French polish.
The mechanism is functional and has undergone
a horological service. The weights are new.
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of material used in
the manufacture) has been confirmed by an expert in
vintage and antique items.
The Antique Beauty company issues a CERTIFICATE
OF EXHIBITOR on presented item, which confirms the authenticity,
