Wallace & Son Silver-Plated Tray
We present you a round, silver-plated tray by R. Wallace & Son, an American manufactory of ware and cutlery.
The whole item is placed on three legs. Its edges are wavy, the bottom is incised.
This tray is in good condition. The silver layer is slightly worn off.
R. Wallace & Sons was formed in Wallingford, Connecticut and incorporated in 1879. As of 1893, this company manufactured silver and plated ware and cutlery. One of the most complete and extensive companies of its kind in the United States.
Many designs by R. Wallace & Sons, especially Modern ones, have been collected by American museums including the Dallas Museum of Art.
In the 1930s, R. Wallace & Sons designs were included in exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
