Unique Showcase Circa 1911
We present you this mahogany showcase from Scotland. It is composed of a two-leaf, glazed add-on unit with openwork decorations. The whole is supported on four legs, which narrow towards the bottom, connected with a shelf.
The inside is divided with shelves and lined with a new, soft fabric.
The lock is functional.
Presented showcase has been restored and finished in shellac.
Furthermore, the piece of furniture is signed with a metal plaque that contains the following information: this showcase was gifted to pastor Benjamin Alcock by his friends and former charges on the occasion of his retirement in October 1911.
