Two Nordiska Kampaniet Chairs

Presented chairs, circa 1909, are made in birch wood, and are signed by AB Nordiska Kampniet.

Manufactory nameplate with the following serial no.: 05407.

The furniture manufactured on client’s individual request for his villa.

The chairs have straight, narrowing legs, upholstered

seats, and openwork backrests.

The frame of the backrest is in the shield form, with a back splat in a shape of a

stylized amphora.

These chairs are after a renovation of the woodwork. The upholstery rather to be replaced.

AB Nordiska Kampaniet company has owned department stores since 1902, and has had its own furniture manufactory in Nykoping since the same year. Every piece of furniture had its own nameplate. The designer was Carl Bergsten. All the furniture are cataloged, and can be found on the website. By the serial number, it is possible to determine the date of origin, material, and appropriation.
