Rococo Bergère from the 18th Century
An unique and extraordinary bergère from the Gentofte collection,
assembled by Poul Claudius Andersen (1893-193) and consul
Henry V. Boye (1896-1974) in the Interwar Period 1920-1940.
Presented piece of furniture is remarkably antique. It was manufactured circa 1780. The whole is kept in
the Rococo style.
The bergère was made in walnut wood. The seat and
the backrest are upholstered with satin-like fabric with a slight sheen.
The four legs of the armchairs are bentwood. The frame is profiled and fluted.
The bergère is original. As for its age, it is in perfect condition.
The wood is covered with slight patina.
Moreover, there are visible holes that has been left by xylophages. The upholstery bears traces of
use. Also, two stains are visible on the seat and the backrest of the bergère.
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of material used in
the manufacture) has been confirmed by an expert in
vintage and antique items.
The Antique Beauty company issues a

the authenticity, legal origin, and the approximate date and
