Representative, Neo-Rococo Bookcase
We present you this bookcase (showcase cabinet) circa 1890, veneered with mahogany.
The furniture is composed of two parts: a bottom, box one, and an upper one in the form of a setting with a glazed front.
There is one shelf in the inside of the base, and a row of four shelves inside the setting. The height of the shelves
can be regulated thanks to the wooden slides with cuttings in the corners.
The top is finished with an irregular crest with a shell motif.
The door panels, and the panels of the glazed fronts, are ornamented with a highly carved, applicable appliqué.
The bookcase is after a renovation. It is extremely striking and presents itself exquisitely.
