Renaissance, Oaken Closet from the 17th c.
We present you this unique, two-door closet circa 1700 in solid oak.
The furniture is in the Dutch Mannerism style.
The two front legs are turned. The upper segment of the closet is finished with a prominent, profiled crowning molding.
The top parts of the door panels are ornamented with arched bas-reliefs.
The pilasters on the both sides of the door, and the molding under the cornice and the cover molding, are decorated with diamond-shaped ornamentations.
Worth mentioning is an interesting solution used in presented furniture, i.e. the door locks are masked by a sliding diamond-shaped ornamentation.
The furniture is in very good condition. It has been covered only with wax.
All elements are original (the key, the lock and the shelves).
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of wood used in manufacturing) has been
confirmed by an experienced expert in vintage and antique furniture.
