Remarkable Dresser in a Black-Golden-Green Hue

We present you this dresser from the 50s of the 20th century, which form refers to the 18th-century Chippendale style.

The framework of the furniture is made in birch. The fronts and the top are veneered with burl.

The furniture has rounded corners with an applicable appliqué on them, and on the door fronts.

The legs are slightly bent, and ends with spheres in the talons of a bird, which is characteristic of

the Chippendale style.

The dresser is in a very interesting hue of black, gold and green, which point is to imitate lacquer.

There are two drawers and a shelf inside the dresser.

The furniture is in very good condition. It is ready to be put in an interior.

 Chippendale style –style in the English furniture making which originated in the early 18th century.  The name of the style derives from the last name of the prominent ébénist, Thomas Chippendale. Itwas the first style in the English furniture making that had taken its name from the creator, not from the ruler. The main future of the style was Eclecticism, which sometimes was referred to as “lack of style”. In his projects, the author combined elements of the contemporary, old and exotic styles. Chippendale was heavily inspired not only by Gothic, but also by Rococo and Chinese art.  He combined the borrowed elements in a new, unprecedented way.  His style, then, found many followers.
