Papier-Mâché Tray
We present you a big tray from the 1st half of the 19th century.
It is made of pressed paper pulp called papier-mâché.
This tray is inlaid with mother-of-pearl and decorated with
a hand-painted landscape, and gildings on the edges.
The landscape depicts the ruins of medieval Kenilworth castle in England.
Presented item is in very good condition. There are few cracks in the surface
and several discolorations left by dishes.
