Oil Painting with a Mountain Landscape
We present you this old painting, circa the 2nd half of the 19 century, painted on plywood, with a depiction of a mountain
landscape with rushing stream. The whole is closed in wide, golden frame.
This piece of art is not signed, but it is a good representation of painter’s skills.
It can be inclined to attribute this painting to an Austrian painter,
Josef Thoma (1850-1926), who specialized in
alpine landscapes. This is, however, not
a confirmed information.
Presented painting is after a renovation. The frame is slightly damaged in the upper corner.
The frame is modern.
