Oak, Signed Cupboard from the Interwar Period
We present you this piece of furniture made of oak wood, and a soft wood veneered with oak.
The cupboard is composed of a two-door base with two molding boards and drawers
under the top, on the door axis, and an upper section with glazed cabinets.
From the front, the whole is supported on spherical, fluted legs, whereas the rear
legs are simple and square.
Furthermore, the upper section is topped with a simple cornice, which is finished with
a fluted molding.
The lower door panels are ornamented with layered, semi-plastic, wooden
appliqués. The same ornaments are repeated on the glazed parts.
The glass panes with bolections.
On the internal side of the lower doors, there is a signature of the workshop in Katowice,
with the address and last name of the maker (Konrad Jeschoner).
Presented piece of furniture has undergone an elaborate renovation. It has been finished in wax.
