Neo-Renaissance Cupboard Setting from the 19th c.

A piece of furniture, circa 1880/1890, made in solid oaken wood.

This setting is a remainder of the upper section of a cupboard.

Now, it is intended for hanging in the role of a cabinet.

The setting is composed of a pair of glazed doors enclosed by an arc

and embraced with two spiral columns.

Above the doors, there is a wide molding that is decorated

with a semi-plastic carving of a mascaron’s head in the central part.

The whole is finished with a profiled molding and richly carved

 crest, which is inclined forwards.
