Neo-Renaissance Commode/Cupboard from the 19th Century
We present you this massive, two-door Neo-Renaissance commode
made of solid oak wood.
The whole is supported on legs that are an extension of its sides,
and finished with a profiled socle cornice.
The double-leaf doors of the commode are flanked by double pillars.
Furthermore, the whole is separated from the base and under-socle
section with profiled moldings.
At the pilaster level, on the under-socle section, there are two drawers.
The panel has a slightly prominent, profiled cornice, which is supported on
corbels.
The door panels, center of the under-socle section, and fronts of the legs are decorated with
intarsias with a dark ornamental motif on a light background.
What is noteworthy are the unique, antique lock with the original key,
and heavy door knockers on the sides of the commode.
Presented piece of furniture is in perfect condition.
