Lady’s Desk from the Early 20th Century

We present you a piece of furniture made of mahogany wood and partially covered in pyramidal mahogany veneer.

This desk is composed of two sections: a bottom one, with a rectangular top

supported on cabriole legs, and an upper, removable add-on unit, which is

 topped with a small gallery.

The corners of the top are rounded – a profiled molding on the edge.

There is a narrow drawer under the top over its whole length.

The simple form of this desk is varied only by the openwork gallery, modest fluting of

 the legs, and the pilasters in the add-on unit section.

Presented piece of furniture has undergone renovation; is covered with varnish in semimatte.

THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of material used in

 the manufacture) has been confirmed by an expert in

 vintage and antique items.
