Intarsiated Writing Desk from the 2nd Half of the 20th century

Highly decorative writing desk from the 2nd half of the 20th century, in the style of the 18th-century

Dutch furniture.

The furniture’s form is massive, ornamented with a rich intarsia with naturalistic floral patterns.

The writing desk is composed of three, narrowing towards the top, drawers, and an openable

top. The drawers are of different heights, in the characteristic concave-convex

shape. In the inside, there are two drawers and four shelves, and a visible

logo of the Panthel furniture making company.

The whole is supported on huge legs in the shape of animal paws, which extend beyond the surface of the furniture.

Decorative, brass handles of the drawers and the ornamental key to the lid of the writing desk complete

the whole.

The writing desk dimensions:

Height: 103.5 cm; width: 94 cm; depth: 50 cm.
