Highly Decorative, Brittany Chairs, Circa 1880
Presented chairs were manufactured in Brittany, a region in the northwestern France.
This furniture is made in oak wood, and is a great example of the highly decorative Brittany style.
The chairs have high backrests that finish with finials. Moreover, the seats are made of an embossed leather that is fixed with brass studs.
Every chair is supported on turned legs. The back splats of the backrests are richly ornamented with portrayals of rural figures.
