A set made of 19.2 ct yellow gold and 0.833 silver, featuring a brooch, earrings, and ring adorned with diamonds and Akoya pearls.

Origin: Portugal, late 19th / early 20th century.

Brooch:

• Akoya pearl, 4.08 mm
• 8 rose-cut diamonds
• Dimensions: 4.5 x 2.6 cm

Earrings:

• 2 Akoya pearls, 3.33 mm each (total: 6.66 mm)
• 4 rose-cut diamonds
• Dimensions: 1.5 x 1.5 cm

Ring:

• Akoya pearl, 3.16 mm
• 4 rose-cut diamonds
• Size: 16 (PL), 56 (US), diameter 17.8 mm

Rose Cut (Polish: szlif różany) is a traditional gemstone cutting technique, especially popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features multiple flat, quadrilateral or triangular facets shaped to resemble rose petals, hence the name “rose cut.”

This cut usually lacks a faceted underside (known as "pavé"), unlike round or square cuts. Instead, the stone is cut from the top, with the bottom remaining flat or gently rounded, creating a distinct light reflection effect.
