French Secretary Desk in the Louis XV Type
We present you this neat secretary desk, dated the late 19th century, in the form a post
that resembles the Louis XV furniture.
The whole is placed on bent legs with three drawers at the bottom;
with a removable board flush with the rest of the item, and a drawer under the top.
The secretary desk is topped with a marble board.
Furthermore, the surface is covered with parquet mosaic of
rosewood veneer.
The brass fittings complement the whole.
Presented piece of furniture is after renovation; finished in Shellac
that was made and layered according to old techniques.
The marble board is made of two parts glued together.
