Antique Writing Desk, Circa 1870, with Porcelain Tableau
We present you this unique antique piece of furniture, circa 1870;
with a lid closed from the front, which forms a writing surface
after it is dropped down, a wide drawer under the top, and a removable add-on unit
in the form of a cabinet, which is topped with a gallery with a pinnacle in the middle.
The whole is supported on fluted legs, connected with each other with
a stretcher with a pinnacle.
What makes the piece of furniture truly unique and original are the hand-painted porcelain
tableau in brass frames on the front.
This writing desk is French-polished in black and decorated with a delicate relief
pattern, gildings, and brass appliqués.
The inside is covered with elm veneer. The writing panel
is lined with new woolen baize.
Presented piece of furniture has undergone renovation.
There is a visible gap, approx. 0.5 cm wide, between the panel and the case, which makes it impossible to lock the whole with the key.
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of material used in
the manufacture) has been confirmed by an expert in
vintage and antique items.
The Antique Beauty company issues a CERTIFICATE
OF EXHIBITOR on presented item, which confirms the authenticity,
legal origin, and the approximate date and place of the item manufacture.
