French Intarsiated Table from the 19th Century
We present you a beautiful sewing table,
dated the 1st half of the 19th century.
The rectangular apron is covered in rosewood veneer
with beautiful intarsias. Under the top, there is a narrow drawer
with a pincushion inside.
The whole is supported on an untypical base made of turned,
spiral and thin balusters, which are connected with transverse stretchers.
Presented piece of furniture is after renovation and finished in several layers of Shellac.
All that according to the old techniques.
