Card Table, Circa 1870

We present you this English card table, circa 1870.

This table is on bentwood legs that are joint together with a cross bar with slightly prominent

 knees.

There is a single drawer on the apron.

The closed table top is composed of four connecting vertexes of the triangles.

After unfolding, the triangles form a gaming surface with the center

padded with green, felt fabric; finished around with a border

 with traces of gilding. Dimensions of the gaming surface: 79 x 79 cm.

The original table unfolding mechanism raises one of the triangles

 after turning the whole on the axis.

Presented card table is after a renovation; finished in French polish.
