English Grandfather Clock, Circa 1820
We present you this grandfather clock with an oak case, which is partially veneered with
mahogany, with inserts made of fillet stripes.
The small roof of the case has small columns that flank the door,
and is topped with an irregular, volute crest.
The clock face is metal, polychromed, and closed with an arch
with a ring with hour marks and a smaller, outer ring
with second marks.
Furthermore, the corners and arch of the dial are covered with a painting decoration with
floral and architectonic motifs.
This clock strikes every full hour.
The clock case is after a renovation. The mechanism is functional; has undergone a horological service.
