Encrusted Coffret from the Victorian Period

We present you this small, antique wooden coffret intricately encrusted with several types

 of wood, ivory, mother-of-pearl, brass, and copper.

It is composed of a slightly prominent and high base with a blind drawer

 and a rectangular upper section, which hides four small drawers

 for valuables and other small items. All this closed with a fragment of an arch.

The drawer handles have a small ivory knob.

Presented coffret is after renovation. It is finished in shellac. On two edges of the base,

 there are small chips of the encrustation, which are visible only after closer inspection.

Other than that, the coffret is in good condition.

THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of material used in

 the manufacture) has been confirmed by an expert in

 vintage and antique items.
