Eclectic Cabinet with Iconography with Saint George
We present you this massive cabinet piece of furniture made of solid oak wood,
dated the end of the 19th century.
It is composed of a single-leaf, high base with a drawer under the top
that is advanced outside the surface of the front, and a smaller,
also single-leaf, upper section, which is topped with a profiled cornice.
The drawer is supported on two fluted columns, which flank the bottom door.
Furthermore, the door panels and fronts of the drawers are ornamented with decorative carved patterns.
The central part of the upper door panels is covered with a bas-relief
with a profiled portrait of Saint George, which is inscribed in a circle and a square.
The lower door panel depicts a scene of a dragon being killed by
the saint and an inscription of Saint George.
Presented article of furniture is after renovation; is in perfect condition.
