Dutch, Oaken Cabinet from the 18th/19th Century
We present you this article of furniture made in solid oaken wood. It was manufactured probably
in the end of the 18th c., or early 19th c.
The corpus is composed of a two-door section with a drawer at the bottom,
which ends with a slightly extended, profiled lower
and upper cornices.
The whole is placed on a base on high legs in the shape of a vase.
The legs are connected with a cross bar at the bottom.
Furthermore, the door leaves are embraced by fluted pilasters with Ionic capitals,
and a base decorated with a candelabra ornament.
The lipping with a decoration that reflects that of pilasters.
The upper and lower crowns are adorned with an ornament and bas-relief
lion heads at the line of the pilasters and the lipping.
To continue, the door panels are closed with an arc.
The inside of this piece of furniture is divided with shelves.
Presented cabinet has undergone a renovation. It presents itself astonishingly.
