Cupboard Sideboard, Circa 1920
The furniture was made in oak and walnut.
It is composed of a cabinet base, supported on bannisters,
and settled on a wooden dais that is finished with a profiled
cornice molding, and a setting with an extended top with a crest.
The base of the cupboard sideboard is three-door, with the panels with a semi-plastic,
sculptural decoration.
The top is made of red marble.
The door is highlighted by fluted columns.
The inside of the base without any divisions. Thus, there is an open space, which is available
through any of the doors.
The sideboard is in good condition. The marble has a crack on an edge,
filled with putty.
The surface of the dais has a few folds, running across its entire
length, which have been caused by bulge of the veneer.
This furniture has undergone a renovation, and it has been waxed.
The sideboard is a part of a set, which it forms with a separately available
cupboard.
Both pieces of furniture are kept in the same stylistics, based on ornamentations in the form of
mascarons.
