Brittany Table with Chairs, Circa 1890
Presented table and six chairs are made in solid oaken wood.
The table is in the form of a square on four turned legs, connected
with a cross bar with a full-dimensional decoration with a motif of
a steering wheel.
The top edging and the apron are entirely covered with woodcarving.
The table can be extended. Under the table top, there are additional legs
that can support the extendable elements of the table.
Furthermore, the chairs have upholstered seats. The backrests’ splats are covered
on one side with a woodcarving. Into this woodcarving the motif of steering wheel, the same as
on the table, has been integrated.
To continue, the side frames and the front legs are in the shape of balusters.
Presented articles of furniture are in good condition. There are some dents on the table top.
Also, there are no removable parts of the table top that are necessary to extend it.
