We present you this sculpture depicting the allegory of music, signed by
the French artist, Louis Auguste Moreau.
The whole is made of bronzed zamak at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Presented item is in very good condition (only the end of violin is broken,
hanging on the strings).
Louis Auguste Moreau – French sculptor living in the years 1855-1919. Born in Dijon, to the famous family of sculptors. His allegorical works were created mainly in the Art Nouveau style. Moreau’s art was an inspiration for other artists working at that time. He regularly exhibited his sculptures at the Salon. L. A. Moreau’s works can be found in numerous museums in France.
