Armchair/Throne, Circa 1940
We present you this interesting armchair of the throne type, circa 1940.
The wooden elements of the furniture are made in oak. Its seat and backrest
are upholstered.
The handrails effectively finished in the form of scrolls. The armchair legs are turned.
The front legs have feet in the shape of paws, joint together with a cross bar, which has been ornamented with a woodcarving.
The seat is spring, in original condition, and is filled,
similarly to the backrest, with sea grass, and covered with a tapestry (probably secondary)
with the hunting scenes.
From the outside, the fabric is finished with brass nails.
This piece of furniture has not undergone a renovation. It is in very good condition. Only slight traces of use are visible on
the wooden parts.
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of wood used in manufacturing) has been
confirmed by an experienced expert in vintage and antique furniture.
