Antique Sewing Table/Card Table

We present you this sewing table that can be used in two ways:

 as a desk and as a card table. That can be done by lifting the top up,

 and rotating it on the spindle installed underneath.

This article of furniture is made of walnut wood and walnut veneer. The top is

  veneered with mahogany.

The chest section is supported on four turned legs and profiled

 baluster props, which are set in pairs on bipods

 that are joint together with the same cross bar.

There are two drawers under the table top. The first is of top’s width, and it is

 divided inside with compartments. The second one is smaller, with a deeper front

that is decorated with a semi-plastic carving.

Presented table is after a renovation. Moreover, it is finished in wax, and the fabric

has been replaced with a high-quality baize. There are tracers after dents on the table top.

The dimensions of the top after folding: 68 x 85.5 cm.
