19th-Century Secretary Desk in the Biedermeier Style
We present you this secretary desk, circa 1870/80, in oaken burl.
A piece of furniture with slightly advanced cornice, and with frontal legs in the shape of lion paws.
The main section is composed of three drawers with two upper drawers,
which are in backward position compared to the front, and are flanked by columns.
Above the drawers, there is a sliding top with a cylindrically closed lid.
To continue, the inside hides sliding compartments, hidden in the desktop, and rows of
drawers and compartments with fronts decorated with filet stripes.
This piece of furniture is after a thorough renovation, and is finished in a French polish.
