19th-Century Illustrations of the Graphics
We present you illustrations from the Art Jurnal journal from the period 1851-1872, issued by
the Virtue & Co. publishing house in London.
The items are printed on the basis of copperplates made by, among others, William Carlo
Roffe, John H. Backer, and T. W. Knight.
These pieces of art depict sculptures of various artists, such as: Giovani Fontana,
J. H. Foley, P. Mac, Dowell Beniamin, or Edward Spence.
Presented illustrations are closed in a golden frame with an oval passe-partout in pink.
The series consists of eight graphics, of which two are double.
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of material used in the manufacture) has been
confirmed by an experienced expert in vintage and antique items.
