18th-Century Oak Cabinet
We present you this unique cabinet, circa 1745, made of solid oak wood.
The form and ornamentation reflect that of Dutch Mannerism.
This piece of furniture is composed of a high base on turned legs, connected with stretchers, and an upper section
in the form of a one-door cabinet with an add-on unit, which is supported on spiral balusters and topped with a simple cornice.
Furthermore, the storage compartments in the add-on unit section can be opened by lowering the fronts.
The surface of the cabinet is covered with carved patterns with a fitting ornament.
The authenticity and value of this piece of furniture are emphasized by the first and last name
of the cabinet’s owner placed on the front: Maria*Teden / Anno 1745.
The cabinet, as for its age, is in perfect condition.
