18th-Century Lady's Secretary
We present you an 18th-century lady’s secretary.
Made of rosewood and veneered inside with mahogany.
This piece of furniture is of concave-convex shapes.
From the front, it is closed by a slant lid with a hand-painted porcelain miniature.
The whole secretary is supported on thin, bent legs.
Inside, there are three drawers, a shelf,
and a sliding storage compartment under the writing surface.
The inner side of the lid is lined with baize.
Furthermore, the upper section is topped with a brass gallery
with pinnacles in the corners.
What makes this piece even more stylish are the brass appliqués on the feet and knees,
and the moldings with embossed ornamentation.
Presented secretary desk is after professional renovation. All finished in shellac.
In addition, the baize has been replaced with a new one.
THE AUTHENTICITY (period of origin, type of material used in
the manufacture) has been confirmed by an expert in
vintage and antique items.
The Antique Beauty company issues a CERTIFICATE
OF EXHIBITOR on presented item, which confirms the authenticity,
legal origin, and the approximate date and place of the item manufacture.
